IFSC World Climbing Championships 2019 Hachioji, Japan
We have 3 kiwi climbers there. Best of luck to Sarah Tetzlaff, George Sanders, Tom Waldin, who will be competing in all 3 disciplines, Lead, Speed and Bouldering. Bouldering qualifiers commence on Sunday the 11th for Sarah and Monday the 12th for Tom and George. POSTPONED Australian National Youth Championships 2020
The 2020 National Youth Championships will be held at Climbfit, Kirrawee, Sydney on 29th and 30th May. To be confirmed is the speed event which may be on 31st May most likely at Villawood. Climbfit does not have the height for a speed wall. Australia limit the number of New Zealand participates to 2 per category. Selection for this event is via the CNZ Selection Committee and based on the 2019 Selection Policy.
CANCELLED – IFSC Climbing World Youth Championship 2020
The event for 2020 has been cancelled, however IFSC has announced that the same event with same venue in Russia will host in 2021. The 2022 event has also been confirmed to be hosted in the USA.
2020 Oceania Championships (Combined Open Event)
This event was rescheduled from March 2020 due travel restrictions and COVID-19 risks. 08-03-20_Infosheet_OCH_Sydney Event Page Startlist Please note the new dates 19th and 20th of December 2020. The events is a qualification event for Tokyo Olympics 2020. This is an Open only event, and those that can participate in this event will be selected from the Combined Event in October at Mt Maunganui.
