Boulder Lab in Ferntree Gully is hosting the Youth D & Youth X Championships on 6–7 June — a bouldering competition modelled on Youth World Championship format. NZ competitors are welcome.
Categories & entry fees
- Youth X (U13) — Born 2006/2007. Maximum 20 per gender. Entry fee: AUD $95.
- Youth D (U11) — Born 2014/2015. Maximum 50 per gender. Entry fee: AUD $95.
Entry quotas are strictly enforced. A waitlist opens once a category fills.
Weekend schedule
- Saturday 6 June — Qualification rounds (both categories)
- Sunday 7 June AM — Semi-finals (Youth D only)
- Sunday 7 June PM — Finals (Youth X & Youth D)

Competition format
- Qualifications: Flash format — 2 rounds of 3 problems, 4 min on / 2 min off. Crowdviewing for all divisions.
- Semi-finals (Youth D): Onsight format — 5 min on / 5 min off.
- Finals: World Cup Finals format — collective viewing followed by 4 min, 1 cap off.
Eligibility & rules
Open to Victorian, interstate, and NZ competitors. Standard World Climbing rules apply. All competitors must complete a Boulder Lab Licensor form before competing.
