DRAFT Climbing New Zealand selection policy for the New Zealand Team to compete at the Oceania Olympic Qualification event:

Speed Climbing

Climbing New Zealand Speed Climbing selection standards:

These standards are limited to Open, Junior, Youth A and Youth B categories.

Speed qualification criteria – a time less than or equal to (time in seconds):
Open Male 10.000
Open Female 13.000
Junior Male 11.000
Junior Female 14.000
Youth A Male 12.000
Youth A Female 15.000
Youth B Male 12.000
Youth B Female 15.000

Youth A and Junior athletes can qualify a time for their age group while competing in the Open category.

For the sake of clarity there is no speed qualification for Youth C and Youth D as these grades climb on the Pacific K route and this has no international relevance at this stage.
