Three of our speed climbers are off to Europe this July

We’ve got three speed climbers flying the flag in Europe this July. Sarah Tetzlaff, Julian David and Ned Johnston are on their way to two World Climbing Series stops inside just over a week of racing.

Krakow, Poland: 3–5 July 2026, Speed and Speed Relay
Chamonix, France: 10–12 July 2026, Speed (alongside Lead)

Sarah, Julian and Ned are all entered in individual speed at both stops. Krakow adds something new: the speed relay, a team format where two climbers take turns racing the 15-metre wall against another country. We’ve got a mixed team (Sarah and Ned) and a men’s team (Julian and Ned) lining up.

You can watch every run live on World Climbing’s YouTube: youtube.com/@worldclimbing

Whether they’re chasing personal bests or a spot in the finals, these three are racing for Aotearoa. Give them a cheer.
