The Selection Committee has named 24 athletes as provisional selections to the 2026–27 Boulder Development Squad, in the Open, U19 and U17 categories. The selections come from the results of CNZ Boulder A Nationals at Boulder Co, Hamilton on 26 September 2026.
How the selections were made
The Selection Committee met on 29 September to review the results. Under the CNZ Selection Policy (August 2026), the top 30% of eligible athletes in each gender and category are selected.
This list is not the full squad. Squad selection lasts two years (clause 5.2 of the policy), and we’ll publish the full squad once selections are final.
Appeals
If you wish to make an appeal, email selection@climbing.nz (CC president@climbing.nz) before 11:59 pm on Monday 12 October 2026. Section 7 of the CNZ Selection Policy explains how appeals work.
The Selection Committee will consider any appeals, then the CNZ Committee ratifies the selections.
Congratulations to everyone selected, and thanks to every athlete who competed in Hamilton.
