Calling potential climbers/models:Jess Choi from Pandora Films based in Sydney, Australia, emailed because they’re currently working on an advertisement which is planned to be shot in New Zealand, and need help findingclimbers for the modeling role.The shoot is most likely a 1 day shoot, but could be more.The shooting day is Feb. 24th and will be shot in North Island area.They’ll provide them flights and accommodation if they live far from the shooting location.The advertisement is for Korea only with 6 months usage.The selected climber will be paid NZD 2,000 ++ /dayThey’re looking for both male and female models in their 20’s to mid 30’s who are good looking and fit (athletic shape).Anyone interested should contact Jess directly –jess@pandorafilms.com.au
Hangdog climbing gym and Dynomites Sport Climbing club are proud to host this regional one-day indoor climbing competition for climbers of all ages and levels.
There are four categories:
‘Beginner’ – max age 14, no minimum age, male and female categories, top rope only.
‘Intermediate’ – max age 18, male and female, top rope only, grade 21 and below.
‘Advanced’ – no age limits, male and female, top rope qualifiers and lead final, grade 22 and above.
‘Masters/Adult’ – over 18, male and female, top rope only, grade 21 and below.
There will be spot prizes, food stall and great climbing on the day.
$19 early bird tickets until Wednesday 26 November, then $30 standard tickets. Online registrations are through http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/and ‘in person’ registrations are accepted through Hangdog before the event and on the day.
Please note that the Advanced final will be a lead climb. If at any stage any climber is deemed to be acting in an unsafe manner they may be removed from the competition.

New Zealand Alpine Club is holding their Youth Rock Climbing Camp in January in the Waikato area, this is the first time the camp is being held in the North Island. This is an awesome opportunity for young climbers to take their climbing to the next level.

World Youth Team Coach, Manager and Assistant
Appointment is for the 2015 season with the goal of taking a team to Worlds in Italy in September.
Detailed job descriptions will be posted later but at this stage we are looking to see who is interested in applying. Â Please note the positions are voluntary, but expenses for the Worlds will be covered.

After qualification rounds yesterday, a record five New Zealand competitors have made it through to the semi-finals at World Youth Championships. Congratulations to Aiyana Grigsby, Erica Gatland, Lucy Whitehead, Carly McIlroy and Josh Cornah!
Well done to all the NZ competitors, stand tall – you have done New Zealand proud!
