As always the spirit of climbing was very much in evidence.  What a great sport this is! Climbers of all ages (well from 9 to 50) giving it heaps to try to get to the tops of challenging routes.  The routes themselves, superbly built by Ian Ambrose and Pete Lofthouse, with the help of local Auckland setters,  at the Extreme Edge Gym, Glen Eden.  Gym owner Darrin Worsfold and the magnificently well organised Auckland Sportclimbing Club hosting and putting in the hours of hard work behind the scenes.  All the volunteers running the event on the day – the belayers, judges, timekeepers, video monitors, and, in charge of proceedings, President of the Jury, the dynamic Jo Hutton-Smith.   Southern Approach have been our sponsor for the Cup this year – generously providing some great podium and spot prizes for our competitors.  And Levi Harrell, ofallnationsphotography, has been very busy around the arena capturing the amazing action.  Many thanks to all!
